Wildlife perception filter

We are surrounded by wildlife every day, we just don’t realise how much. We seem to just switch off and it passes us by unnoticed.

So today I thought I would note all that I saw, without making an active effort to look for it, and I was amazed by just how much you see without actually knowing it.

My sightings for today, so far, are as follows:

Rook, Starling, Magpie, Jack Daw, Carrion Crow (dead), Blackbird, Robin, Goldfinch, Grey Squirrel (dead), Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Common Gull, Rabbit, Chaffinch, Ladybird, Bumble Bee, House Martin.

Add to that all the other birds that I could not identify as they were too far away and the ones that I could only hear and that makes an impressive total for an average day without going out looking for wildlife.

So get out there and see what is all around you.
